Learn Python while Programming a Custom Video Game
Students will learn the Python language (no experience necessary) by programming a custom, fully playable video game using PyGame in this fully browser-based course. Starting with basic screen building and design code fundamentals students will learn programming concepts at every step, gradually implementing them in their projects until they can program movement mechanics, complex game strategies and advanced features.
This course was built to seamlessly integrate the thrill of gaming with invaluable programming skills. While students are having a blast, they’ll also be gaining hands-on experience in coding, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. The expected time commitment is 20 hours of project based learning.
No prior experience is required.

About Your Instructor
Hey, I’m Corbin. For a long time, I thought I hated coding because the way I was taught it was so boring.
After a while, I found out it was actually really interesting and endlessly creative. There were always new problems to solve.
So I taught myself to code. I got everything I was hoping for from a tech job – a high salary, great benefits, working from home, all of it.
Now, through Skillquest, I help others break into tech for themselves using the best medium I know how – gaming.
I love games, and I’ve found they’re the perfect medium to learn, understand, and ultimately master coding concepts and languages.
If you’re interested in coding at all, this is the best place to start to not only learn how coding actually works in the real world, but have a blast doing it.
